The second edition of BABYKID +FIMI opens its doors today at Feria Valencia

261 companies present the novelties of the children’s sector,

that expects to grow by 11% in 2022, recovering the pre-pandemic turnover € 1,170M

BABYKID SPAIN +FIMI, professional event in the children’s universe, has started today its 2nd edition at Feria Valencia, where 261 national and foreign brands will present their new proposals for children’s fashion and footwear, childcare and toys, in an event with a marked international character, thanks to the support of IVACE, Institut Valencià de la Competitivitat Empresarial. Together with the presence of international press, with the collaboration of ICEX.

Rafael Climent (Minister of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor of the Valencian Community) has inaugurated the event, accompanied by Natxo Costa (Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor of the Valencian Community), with the attendance of Dolores Parra (General Director of Internationalization of IVACE, Institut Valencià de la Competitivitat Empresarial),  Pablo Conde (Director of Goods and Consumption of ICEX) and Iván Castañón (Regional Secretary of the Vice Presidency).

From February 17th to 19th, more than 3,400 visitors from points of sale and more than 150 foreign VIP customers from 23 countries will see about the new proposals of companies in the children’s sector, in the 12,500m2 of Hall 1 – Level 3 of the Feria Valencia venue, at 100% occupancy of the total space.

The high number of foreign buyers and the international press presence indicate the high interest in fashion and childcare that is made in Spain. This sector of products for children expects to grow by 11% in 2022, recovering the pre-pandemic turnover of € 1,170M.

Among foreign buyers, visitors are expected from Europe (mainly from Italy and Portugal, as well as Poland, Ukraine and Romania), and also from Russia, United Arab Emirates, USA, Jordan, Lebanon, Ukraine, Israel and Latin America (Chile, Mexico and Guatemala…). It highlights the important presence of large purchasing centers such as the Keyplayer online group and the children’s store chains Numzworld and Lals Group, from the Emirates; the Azzaro group from Italy; Romania’s importer, Baby Pufos; the Mexican fashion company, Pachus and the Mamas and Papas group of Lebanon.

As for the exhibiting companies, it is worth mentioning the participation of children’s brands, both foreign and national, with wide representation of all the Communities.

Thanks to the good participation figures of this second face-to-face edition, the Fair foresees that this event, reunion of professionals in the children’s sector, will be a success for all (brands, points of sale, distributors, commercial agents, suppliers …), consolidating BABYKID + FIMI as an essential international event in the world of children, where to join forces and do business safely.
